ArtWorks 4 ENA, Inc. was founded in honor of Aina “Ena” Horne. Aina Horne, lovingly known to her friends and family as Ena, passed suddenly at the age of 22. Aina’s journey into the world of artistry began in her father’s church where she often times shared her love of music by singing in the youth choir and many impromptu request by her father to perform selections prior to his sermons.
Aina ignited her passion for artistic expression in the Performing and Visual Arts Program at Tri-Cities High School where she won multiple awards for art and poetry. Aina continued to foster her love for the arts by attending Dillard University in New Orleans, LA on an art scholarship. During her matriculation at Dillard Aina continued to perform, write and paint and was awarded first place in Louisiana State Colleges Artistic Talent Competition for two of her abstract pieces.
Aina was a familiar face on the local art scene and often performed many of her original songs and spoken word at talent showcases throughout the Atlanta area. Aina believed that sharing her love of the arts with young people and the world was truly her calling and spent most of her summers working as an Art Instructor at a local Art Center in her hometown of College Park, GA.
